FAQs

Got questions? We’ve got clear, simple answers.

What does "Standalone" vs "Integrated" mode mean?

Standalone mode allows the system to operate independently with no software. Integrated mode syncs the system with OWLCMS for a richer competition experience including overlays, scoreboards, and livestream enhancements.

Is it difficult to switch between Standalone and Integrated mode?

Not at all! Changing modes is as simple as flicking a switch on the Central Control Unit.

What is the battery life of the wireless controllers?

The Referee Controllers offer up to 20 hours of continuous use per charge.

How do I charge the controllers?

All controllers feature USB-C charging ports for easy and fast recharging.

Is the RLS-X2 system difficult to setup?

Setup is extremely simple. Simply plug the Central Control Unit and Lightbox into power and turn the controllers on and you're good to go.

Can RepLogic run the livestream for our competition?

Yes. We offer a full-service livestreaming package where we handle everything from setup to production. This is ideal for major events or organisations seeking a hands-off solution. Availability depends on your location and event schedule, so get in touch early to discuss your needs.

How does the training to run my own livestreaming work?

We offer tailored training designed to give you the skills and confidence to manage your own livestream. Training includes guided setup, walkthroughs of the software and overlays, and best practices for streaming competitions. Ongoing support is also available to help troubleshoot and refine your workflow.

How do I know what equipment to buy?

We provide a recommended equipment list based on your budget and goals. Whether you're aiming for a basic stream or a professional multi-camera setup, we’ll guide you through the options for cameras, audio, laptops, and accessories.

Can RepLogic help me run my first competition livestream if I'm not confident?

Absolutely. We can assist with your first stream either remotely or on-site (depending on location and availability). We’ll walk you through setup, support you during the event, and ensure everything runs smoothly while you gain hands-on experience.

How much do the livestreaming services cost?

Costs vary depending on whether you’re booking full-service livestreaming or training and support only. We offer flexible packages to suit different needs and budgets. Contact us for a personalised quote based on your event size and requirements.

Do you offer onsite support for competitions?

Yes, we can offer onsite setup and support for select competitions. Please contact us to discuss availability and costs.

What are the competition venue requirements for the RLS-X2 to work?

The RLS-X2 system is designed to be flexible and easy to set up in a wide range of venues. All you need is:

  • Reliable access to power (standard power points) for the main control unit and lightbox
  • An indoor facility — the system is not designed for outdoor use or wet conditions.
  • A table or bench for the control unit and lightbox.

No internet connection or external software is required. The system runs completely offline and is plug-and-play.
